Southwest Financial Advisory Group provides its investment advisory services through Global View Capital Management (GVCM); a Registered Investment Advisor with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Registration as an Investment Advisor does not imply a certain level of skill or training. Southwest Financial Advisory Group and GVCM are both independently owned and operated and otherwise unaffiliated companies. Ed Thiessen is an Investment Adviser Representative of GVCM, as defined by the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. The investment advisory services offered are intended for residents of the United States in certain states only. Any subsequent or direct communications with prospective clients will be conducted by an Investment Adviser Representative that is either registered or qualifies for an exemption or exclusion from registration in the state where the prospective client resides. Investing involves risks and possible loss of principal capital. Past performance may not be indicative of future results. Therefore, no current or prospective client should assume that the future performance of any specific investment or investment strategy, including the investments and/or investment strategies recommended by the Adviser will be profitable or equal to past performance levels.

Beyond the Card

Topics neighbors ask Ed about.

Carrying The Lifeline Card™ is free and creates no obligation. For neighbors who'd like to know what else Ed's practice covers, the topics below are the kinds of questions he’s most often asked about.

  1. Medicare enrollment timing & supplement choices
Initial enrollment windows, IRMAA brackets, and when (or whether) to switch a supplement plan.
  2. Social Security claiming strategy
When to start, how spousal benefits coordinate, and the long-term cost of claiming early.
  3. Beneficiary form audits
Whether the names on existing accounts still match the family's wishes — and how to update the ones that don't.
  4. Estate document organization
Where the will lives, who has the passwords, who gets the call first — the unglamorous part of being prepared.
  5. Required Minimum Distributions
Getting the timing right, coordinating across accounts, and avoiding the penalties for getting it wrong.

About · The Sponsorship

For the families who carry the worry.

Sponsoring advisors are financial professionals who have committed to making The Center for Retirement Readiness™'s community resources — including The Lifeline Card™ — available to families in their communities at no cost.

They sponsor because they share TCFRR's belief that being ready for the moments that matter shouldn't depend on what a family can afford. The cards carry no advertising. They cost the family nothing. They create no obligation for anyone who carries them.

"Being ready for the moments that matter shouldn't depend on what a family can afford."
— The Center for Retirement Readiness™

How sponsorship works.

Sponsoring advisors fund The Lifeline Card™ for their community as one of several ways they participate in TCFRR's mission. Sponsorship is treated as community service.
